N2 – Describing yourself and asking questions (worksheet)
Try to plan what you would like others to know about you in a professional context.
When meeting someone who doesn’t know you, work out a short phrase or two that will give them an idea of what sort of work you are looking for.
1/ People don’t want to hear a list, so pick one thing you do, and describe it in no more than 15 seconds or about 25 words.
2/ How would you like people to talk about you? What one word would you be happy for someone else to use if they were describing the way you work to someone else?
3/ How does your work benefit other people? This is usually a more engaging way of thinking and talking about what you do. It’s a way of describing yourself from other people’s perspective.…
